The Heroic Journey a workshop for men and women Oct 2010

Women & Power August 2010

The Heroic Journey

A workshop of personal and spiritual exploration and discovery

for men and women

When we answer the Call of the Self we begin the Heroic Journey

In myth and story the Heroic Journey is the quest for redemption, truth and wisdom and often takes the heroine or hero - be it Psyche or Odysseus, Inanna or Orpheus - on a journey of descent into the underworld, with the purpose of making the return to the everyday world renewed, envisioned and empowered.

The labyrinth is an ancient symbol of wholeness and an archetypal 'map' of the journey of growth and healing. Walking a labyrinth allows us to connect to our deeper selves, our unacknowledged creativity and our unlived potential.

At this workshop, you will be invited to make your own 'Heroic Journey' into and out of the labyrinth. We will use guided reflection, simple artwork, storytelling and group sharing as tools to help us explore our own personal Heroic Journeys.
